The comfort of the people who live in or use a property is one of GARCIA FAURA’s main objectives. And, if they are elderly people, this objective is even more important. This is the case of the project that is being built in the 22@ district of Barcelona.
It is a development located at number 28 Llacuna street in the Catalan capital that will house a residence for the elderly, of 6,450 square metres, and a state-of-the-art office complex, of 6,450 square metres, of which 1,600 will be patios and terraces.
The architecture of the building has been conceived from a global perspective, with special attention to volume, light and colour as key elements to create flexible working environments and comfortable living areas. It will also have LEED Gold environmental certification.
GARCIA FAURA is in charge of the manufacture and installation of the aluminium and glass enclosures, as well as the intervention in facades, from composite panel cladding and ventilated facades formed by a double skin based on sheet metal lattices.
Thus, around 550 square metres of aluminium substructure for the ventilated façade, rock wool insulation for the cladding and profiled and perforated sheet metal lattices of varying geometries are supplied. The intervention is complemented with more than 2,000 square metres of composite panel cladding.
As for the aluminium enclosures, with profiles with thermal bridge breakage, these total 400 units, between those corresponding to the office building and those of the residence module. All of them with high technical features to guarantee the comfort and insulation of the users of this new corporate and services building.
