GARCIA FAURA signs the façades of the Hotel B&B in Luxembourg
GARCIA FAURA will execute the facades of the new B&B Hotel that is being built in Luxembourg, specifically in the area known as Cloche d’Or. This is a business and residential district in which the Catalan company has already left its mark with the execution of other projects such as the headquarters of Banca San Paolo.
The B&B Hotel will be a six-storey building with 150 rooms. The property, which will have a total surface area of 5,400 square metres, will be the first hotel establishment in Luxembourg of the B&B Hotels Western Europe chain.
The three-star B&B Hotel, which will open its doors in the first half of 2025, will be certified with the BREEM Excellent sustainable building certificate, which guarantees energy efficiency and healthier and safer spaces.
The work carried out by GARCIA FAURA, which will manufacture and install 204 high-performance aluminium exterior frames, especially with regard to the acoustic attenuation required on two of the façades, contributes decisively to the achievement of this sustainability certificate. On the ground floor, some 400 square metres of curtain walling will be installed with glass panes of more than three metres in height.
The façades will have about 2,000 square metres of metal cladding, created with dismembered folded profiles and sheets, with a rectangular design of corrugated surface created especially for this project.
In-house technical solution
This is a technical solution developed by GARCIA FAURA that allows the modules manufactured and assembled in the workshop to be installed directly on site. This reduces installation time and with a higher quality than the traditional way.
Other works of GARCIA FAURA in the Hotel B&B will be the installation of two automatic doors and two aluminium and glass doors (one of them fire doors), as well as the cladding with sandwich panel of the structure that covers the machinery of the building.
The Hotel B&B will be the second work that GARCIA FAURA will execute in the zone known as Cloche d’Or, since, practically in front of the hotel establishment, there is the Banca San Paolo for which the Catalan company is going to do in 2021 the curtain walls of aluminium and glass.
