GARCIA FAURA intervenes in the construction of Tower One in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona)

Tower One will be one of the two towers of almost one hundred meters high that will rise in the sector of new development Porta Diagonal, in Esplugues de Llobregat, next to the city of Barcelona.

In the Porta Diagonal business and services park, in Esplugues de Llobregat, Tower One is being built, one of the two towers of almost one hundred metres in height that will become a symbol of the entrance to the city of Barcelona via Diagonal Avenue, as well as connecting with the natural environment of Collserola.

The building, which will be used as a hotel, will be located on Ahrensburg Avenue and will be a 98-metre high building with 526 residential units, of which 350 will be rooms and the rest will be studios and flats. This will add 798 beds to the supply of accommodation in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

The project, developed by Batlle & Roig Architects, covers a buildable area of 20,950 square metres. It will have 25 floors and will present a high-impact plant aesthetic, thanks to a network of planters on the north and south façades. This natural vegetation will be used for the first time on almost a thousand vertical façade slats, installed by GARCIA FAURA, which in the upper part of the building will connect with a pergola in which the building’s photovoltaic panels will be housed.

GARCIA FAURA is also responsible for the manufacture and installation of different façade elements, such as 1,250 square metres of curtain wall, more than 2,700 square metres of metal cladding with composite panel or the set of metal substructures of the ventilated façade.

Finally, GARCIA FAURA manufactures and installs 773 aluminium exterior carpentry with thermal bridge break, with practicable opening and equipped with elements such as interior locking or opening limitation. Given the height of the building, the model of closing that is developed has been subjected to a series of tests of resistance and watertightness on the part of approved laboratories.

GARCIA FAURA ends works in educational centers

The school year starts with three new educational facilities where GARCIA FAURA has been working in recent months. This is the new building of Pompeu Fabra School in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the new School of Mataró Marta Mata and new facilities of International School Camp in Salou. The three will be operational, in stages, during this school year.
