GARCIA FAURA is involved in the expansion of Lidl’s headquarters in Spain
GARCIA FAURA participates in the expansion works of Lidl’s central offices in Spain, located in Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona). The works will mean almost doubling the area of the building (from 15,000 to 27,000 m2) and are expected to be completed in the summer of 2022.
For this project, GARCIA FAURA is manufacturing and installing 850 square meters of curtain walls and 1,090 square meters of metal enclosures. Some works that are completed with the supply of 32 manual and automatic doors for the set of facilities.
GARCIA FAURA‘s participation in the project also includes the installation of 1,500 square meters of solar protection slats (manual and motorized) and facade cladding work with composite panel, more than 2,000 square meters.
Once the works are finished, Lidl emphasizes that the new work center in these offices (from where it manages all its activity in Spain), will have the capacity to accommodate more than a thousand workers.
Lidl has more than 630 points of sale and eleven logistics platforms in Spain. Until 2024, the German multinational will invest 1,500 million euros in the State to open 120 stores and four warehouses.
