The company is one of the ten Catalan companies participating in the second edition of the MetròpolisFPLab program, an innovative initiative that brings VET students closer to the demands of the business world and the territory.
GARCIA FAURA has been chosen this year as one of the ten reference companies to participate in the 2020-2021 edition of the MetropolisFPLab program, promoted by the Economic Development Agency of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area and the BCN Vocational Training Foundation.
The companies participating in the program propose a series of challenges that different teams of students have to solve by contributing their ideas. The prize for each winning team consists of the development of the idea and / or proposal for improvement in the same company through a paid training grant.
In the case of GARCIA FAURA, the company has posed a challenge related to the process of logistics and shipment of products. The proposal is alongside that of other important participating companies such as the Port of Barcelona, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, Aigües de Barcelona, the Catalan Institute of Oncology or the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, among others.
Last year’s edition was attended by more than 600 students from 33 vocational training centers who generated 426 ideas for eight challenges, with a total of 12 finalist projects and six winning teams.
The company’s participation in this program fits in with the objectives of GARCIA FAURA’s Corporate Social Responsibility, which has one of its main lines of action in the promotion of talent.
