GARCIA FAURA’s intervention in the Health Park Nou Son Dureta, in Palma
The company manufactures and installs curtain walls, lattices and enclosures for what will be the main hospital infrastructure in the Balearic Islands in terms of chronicity.
GARCIA FAURA participates in the construction of the Health Park Nou Son Dureta which is being built in Palma and which will become the most important health infrastructure in terms of chronicity in the Balearic Islands.
The health complex will consist of two buildings of three modules each that will house the medium and long-stay hospitals. In total, the complex will have a surface area of 82,822 square metres.
Both hospitals will have a total area of 67,362 square metres and there will be a garden area of 48,793 square metres and a car park with 542 parking spaces.
The health park will be perfectly integrated with the nearby Bellver forest and will have an optimal solar orientation for the different rooms. It will also integrate different environmental and social aspects, with criteria of accessibility, ergonomics, sustainability and energy saving.
To achieve these objectives, the project relies on GARCIA FAURA. The company specialising in the development of facades will build and install just over 3,000 square metres of curtain walling and 2,000 square metres of lattices, with high technical performance.
The works are completed with the manufacture and installation of 200 units of exterior aluminium carpentry that will guarantee the comfort and thermal and acoustic insulation required by a facility of these characteristics.
The Health Park Nou Son Dureta will mean recovering an emblematic space in Palma and putting it to health and social use, as until 2010 it housed the Balearic capital’s reference hospital.
