Remodelling of an old, disused building for use by municipal services and local public services. A surface area of 11,000 m2 destined to be converted into a clearing house for citizen concerns, with a high number of co-management spaces. A new nerve centre for a neighbourhood undergoing constant transformation. Works involved the reinforcement and modification of the existing structure in accordance with the location of the new vertical communication hubs, a new roof and facilities, as well as the comprehensive renovation of the set of facades, which have resulted in energy savings of 25% for the building.
Lacquered extruded aluminium perimeter frames were installed as joinery openings in the main facade, together with an awning lined with composite panel. On the rear facade, the works of GARCIA FAURA also consisted in the installation of these same perimeter frames, but in addition, the entire facade was clad with anodised silver sheet on a galvanized steel substructure. Finally, a third facade was also constructed with anodised sheet panels and bonded insulation, bolted to a galvanized steel structure.
