Headquarters of the Instituto de Ciencias Fotónicas (Institute of Photonic Sciences) built thanks to impetus from the Cellex Foundation and located in the Parque Mediterráneo de la Tecnología. A 4,000 m2 building that stands out for its innovative structural design, as much for its architectural conception as for its organisation of activity. In this building, approximately fifty researchers and scientists undertake their innovation and development projects in the field of laser and light research.
As a research centre of light, the building is committed to the interplay between light and shadow and an exhaustive work harnessing light through solar protection and other elements. On the outside of the installation, emphasis is placed on the covered curtain wall for the walkways that imbue the building with its aesthetic character, while facilitating maintenance and preventive maintenance work. A modern installation to be used for scientific research.
