GARCIA FAURA’s enclosures for more than 300 housings in L’Hospitalet (Barcelona)

GARCIA FAURA is involved in the construction of 367 homes on the site of the former Cosme Toda factory in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). Specifically, the company will leave its mark on three thirteen-storey towers and the buildings between them, each with eight floors.

The Cosme Toda factory, founded in the 19th century, supplied ceramics and other building materials to a then growing modernist Barcelona. Of the factory’s former splendour, two chimneys, several kilns and some structures from the pre-1883 factory complex will now be preserved.

In the houses under construction, GARCIA FAURA develops, manufactures and installs the aluminium and glazing enclosures, with a total of 1,650 units. These are 4,500 square metres of high technical performance enclosures that will offer great thermal and acoustic performance.

The work will include opening and sliding windows and doors with the option of crossing leaves, as well as the exterior doors of the different blocks. The works are completed with the supply and installation of screens, railings and all the metal finishes of the work.
