Enclosures and curtain wall by GARCIA FAURA for the new Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus building
In the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park, in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), the new building that will house the Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus is being built. The final work will represent a concept of sustainable space that wants to be a benchmark in the field of health education, both nationally and internationally. And GARCIA FAURA will leave her mark.
The Sant Joan de Déu Teaching Campus, attached to the University of Barcelona, offers various courses related to health, personal care and quality of life (degrees, training cycles, master’s degrees and postgraduate degrees), in addition to generating and promote scientific research and production processes.
The new building that rises in the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park of Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona) incorporates outstanding premises in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability. It has been designed to create work environments that facilitate study and learning processes, with versatile and flexible spaces for both teachers and students, and to promote the well-being of the educational community.
To make this project a reality, GARCIA FAURA is working on the manufacture and installation of 61 metal carpentry units, with thermal break aluminum profiles and high-performance acoustic and solar control glass.
GARCIA FAURA is also developing 1,282.74 square meters of curtain wall, which incorporates sliding opening closures. The facade seeks to resolve the energy efficiency requirements contemplated in the project, whose solution will make the facade a key element in the sustainable nature of the building.
